I don't usually put much effort into Valentines day as it seems to be all about commercialism and has very little to do with St Valentine. But since we are all still in this current Covid-19 keep your distance social isolation thing, I thought putting on a simple Valentines inspired event might help create a better sense of community with those who might be feeling the effects of all of our social distancing. It will also make a fun, economical date night for couples and even families who are looking for something fun to do over the Valentines day weekend.
So I created 4 simple dishes that anyone can make at home. Each dish connects to the Valentine's theme in various ways, and can be made with economical grocery store ingredients.
Here is an outline of the menu:
Sparkling Strawberry Consume'
St Valentines Bagna càuda
White Ravioli Roses, Sous Vide Sirloin Steak, Red Wine Chocolate Sauce, Honey Glazed Carrots.
Raspberry Nacho’s, Mexican Chocolate Ganache, Chai Cream
This will be a fun, couple and or family freindly cook-along event.
